Trader Joe's: Beauty Edition

Hi Beauties,

I don’t know about you, but this winter has my skin dry and itchy, from my hands, body, and face. So I thought I would share my favorite Beauty Under $30 from Trader Joe's. During a recent grocery shopping trip, I stopped by the beauty section to replenish all my empty products and fix this dry winter skin of mine. In this blog post, I'll share tips for dry winter body, hands, and face, then I'll share the products I use post bikini wax! Enjoy!

Body

Dr Bonner’s Peppermint Soap + Trader Joe’s Lavender Salt Scrub…My hands down favorite body combo. I keep my Dr Bonner’s bottle in the shower and even switched the pour cap to a pump to make it easier to shower with.

To combat dry winter skin, I mix one pump of Dr Bonner’s soap with a scoop of the Trader Joe’s Lavender Salt Scrub and rub it on all dry areas (even feet). The smell will awaken the senses and scrub will leave your skin silky smooth and refreshed from the Peppermint. Just be careful because the salt scrub can make your tub very slippery!

You can also use this combo for dry hands. Once your hands are dry rub the Trader Joe’s Ultra Moisturizing Hand Cream into hands and BOOM…smooth hands!

For both winter and summer, I finish every shower with my spray bottle oil combo. During winter months I add argan oil and vitamin E for extra hydration.

I bought a spray bottle from target and I use store brand baby oil and combine any of your favorite oils. I leave my spray bottle in the shower and spray my body at the end of every shower than I pat myself dry.

Bikini Wax

Here’s a tip for my bikini waxers! I only use the Trader Joe’s Cleansing Pads post wax. They’re a natural antiseptic and good for post bikini wax irritation. If you need a little extra tea tree oil I add the Trader Joe’s Tea Tree oil to the pads. Don’t over poor since tee tree can be very strong.

Face

For my winter morning routine, I’ve been using a combo of the Trader Joe’s Facial cleansing oil followed by the Trader Joe’s Blueberry and acai facial scrub. The oil helps to hydrate my skin and the scrub exfoliates the dead skin. Leaving soft and radiant skin!

After the cleaning process is complete, I finish off with the Trader Joe’s Hyaluronic Moisture Boost Serum then moisturizer/SPF. Mid week when I need a hydration boost I’ll use the Rich Hydrating Face Sheet Mask. Caution! The first 30 seconds after you apply the mask you’ll feel tingling but it goes away quickly.

Lastly, the most important aspect of keeping dry skin hydrated in both winter and summer is…H2O. This water is alkaline balanced and has electrolytes (good for hydration & hangovers!). Thank me later!
