My Mexico Vacay (Part I)

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

-

My second trip to Cancun, Mexico was a relaxing 6 days and 5 nights. There was no way I could fit all that into one blog post so I split it into two posts.

Here’s Part I…

[PREP]

There were months of preparation. From the endless search for swimsuits/accessories (during my commutes to work), eyelash/hair appointments (sat in traffic for 2 1/2 hours!), to renewing my passport, and arranging our TSA global entry appointments.

Lashes were a must for this vacay since I opted for a minimal glow look (See previous post). Lash Decor was referred by a client of mine and I wasn’t disappointed with the outcome!

See the before and after below…

[SHOP]

The easiest way to shop was using Asos and Amazon. I choose these two because of their 2 day shipping options and easy return policy. This trip I opted for one piece swimsuits while keeping my tan lines in mind! There's so many dope swimsuits out there but a girl couldn’t come back to NY with crazy tan lines! Here's a snippet of my selected looks for this trip.

Stay tuned for my next blog post detailing my vacay looks (and links)!

[HOTEL]

I booked our total package with Cheap Caribbean two months prior to departure. We stayed at Secrets The Vine in Cancun. A 5 star resort (that’s only a 20 minute drive from the airport) comes with butler service, private VIP lounge pool area (shown below), and a private check in lounge.

After checking in with our butler, the agenda was RELAXATION ONLY! The room was amazing with full bar and ocean views. The decor was modern so no light switches only touchpad controls for the bathroom and bedrooms. The room was also equipped with a tablet for any room service requests.

[RELAX]

We had a whole lot of much needed down time. We lounged by the pool, worked out (I got kicked out the gym for not wearing sneakers, lol!), dined at the steak house and Italian restaurants, and ordered room service for breakfast, lunch, and even dinner! The best sunset was at the Italian restaurant where we celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary.

I ended my Monday afternoon at the beautiful Secrets Spa by Pevonia with a 60 minute full body massage. It came with a jacuzzi, resting room, steam, sauna, ice pool (My husband tried it but I opted out of this challenge)!

[Views]

Some of the best views and blog material was sitting by either the pool or the beach. Honestly this was the only place I wanted to be and I didn’t leave the resort the entire trip!

Next blog post Mexico Vacay Part II will detail the looks from my Mexico vacay!

Thanks for reading.
