Beauty Under $30: Clay Masks

Hi beauties,

There’s something special about getting a facial at a spa. Then you have those at home products you can use at home.

One of my favorite facial products is the Indian Healing Clay from Aztec Secret. It’s a powdered clay mask that comes in a large plastic jar (Believe it or not, I’ve had mine for at least 5 years!!). I love this mask because you have the ability to mix your own ingredients based on your skin type.

The best way to use it is to mix the clay with water or apple cider vinegar. I’ve tried both ways and noticed my face turned red after rinsing off the clay vinegar mix. Recently, at a local beauty supply store I found a Glycerin and Rose Water mix. To blend the two, I eye ball the liquid while slowly mixing it with the clay. The Glycerin & rose water mix helps to hydrate dry skin and helps the skin to retain more water.

After rinsing, my face felt hydrated, radiant, and my pores were pulled nice and tight. I finished off the at home facial with Thayer’s rose water toner and my normal moisturizer routine.
